Dear Cornerstone Family,
Last week we talked about the spiritual tug-of-war that we all struggle with every day. Our sinful desires want to go one way, and the Holy Spirit is tugging us to go the Lord’s way that brings peace, hope, and love. As long as we live in these bodies, we will always face this struggle. But the good news is that we can get stronger with friends that want to go in the same direction as the Holy Spirit.
Do you have people in your life that want to help you go in the right direction? That is one of the benefits of belonging to a church. We all need people in our lives that love Jesus and want to follow Jesus.
This is what the Apostle Paul was talking about when he said in Galatians 6:1-2 (NIV), “Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
This is the help we need, people who don’t play the blame and shame game, but rather come alongside us and help us follow the Lord.

Wednesday Family Nights:
Join us Wednesday nights, from 5:45-7:30 pm, as we gather to worship and grow with one another. This is for everyone-young or old, single or married! We will start with dinner 5:45-6:15 in the café, then worship and break into small groups. The kids will be in age-appropriate groups that will include study and activities. Marriage Conference:
This year’s Marriage Conference, featuring nationally acclaimed speakers Bill & Pam Farrel, will be held October 4 & 5 here at Cornerstone (6-9 pm Friday & 8 am – 12 pm Saturday). Single Moms Life Group:
Are you a single mom (or functioning as a single mom due to deployment, separation, etc.) wanting to connect with other single moms to support and help each other grow spiritually and learn how to raise healthy children? Join our life group that meets at Cornerstone the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month, 5:45-7:30 pm. Meet in the café for dinner then we will have some worship time and move to the Studio.
