Dear Cornerstone Family,
It used to be that Sundays were set aside for church, rest and families. But, for most people, Sundays have become just another busy day of the week with no time left for church or quality time with family. At the same time, more and more people are wondering why life isn’t working so well for them. God has wired us to need rest, relational connection and spiritual renewal. God has set an internal rhythm of rest, worship and renewal as we make worship a priority once a week. This will lead to benefits that cascade into just about every area of life. This Sunday we will discover how our relationships, work, finances, and health can all be transformed by the decision to make Sunday the best day of the week!
Isaiah 58:13-14a (NLT) teaches us, “Keep the Sabbath day HOLY. Don’t pursue your own interests on that day, but ENJOY the Sabbath and speak of it with DELIGHT as the LORD’s holy day. HONOR the Sabbath in everything you do on that day, and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly. Then the LORD will be your delight.”
Worship is a response to God for our salvation because of His mercy and grace. In Ephesians 1:6-7 (NLT2) the Apostle Paul writes, “So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.” Have you experienced His mercy and grace? What praise will come from your lips because of the salvation Jesus brings?

Annual Meeting & Vision Cast:
Our Annual Business Meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 7:30 pm in the Lounge in Kids City. The church elders will go over the budget for 2018 and the meeting is open to everyone. Pastor Ed will be giving our Vision Cast for this year during both services on Sunday, Jan. 27. This will be your time to give us your Vote of Confidence for where God is leading us.
Family Night Launch:
We will be launching our new Family Night on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 6-7:30 pm in the Xtreme Youth building. Join us weekly as we gather to worship and grow with one another. This is for everyone-young or old, married or single! We will begin with refreshments and worship with everyone, then break into small groups. The kids will be in age-appropriate groups that will include study and activities. Childcare for ages 0-3 provided. Please RSVP so we can start forming groups.
MOPS – Mothers of Preschoolers:
Cornerstone is starting a new MOPS group that will meet every other Sunday from 12:30-2:00 pm starting Feb. 17. This will be a time where you can relax and enjoy the time with other moms in small group discussions, providing support and encouragement, as you equip one another on the challenges of motherhood. Invite your mom friends!
