Dear Cornerstone Family,
What is the best news you have ever heard? God has given us a message of hope to share to a world that is hurting and broken. People are desperately in need of hope today. The message we are given to share is the Good News that Jesus paid for our sins with His life and offers us eternal life.
In Ephesians 3:7-8 (NLT2) Paul tells us, “By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving Him by spreading this Good News. Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, He graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.” None of us are deserving. That’s why this is good news!
Do you know this Good News? In John 3:16-17 (NIV) Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.”
The Good News is that God would rather save us than judge us! The Good News is only good if it is heard before it is too late.
After Jesus died for our sins and rose from the grave He commissioned all believers with this message of hope. In Mark 16:15 (NLT) Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”
Who will hear the Good News from you before it is too late? This Sunday I will be sharing this life changing message of hope and forgiveness. Who will you invite to church to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ?

UPCOMING EVENTS
Annual Meeting & Vision Cast:
Our Annual Business Meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 7:30 pm in the Lounge in Kids City. The church elders will go over the budget for 2018 and the meeting is open to everyone. Pastor Ed will be giving our Vision Cast for this year during both services on Sunday, Jan. 27. This will be your time to give us your Vote of Confidence for where God is leading us.
Tuesday Family Night:
Family Night is launching on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 6-7:30 pm in the Xtreme Youth building. Join us weekly as we gather to worship and grow with one another. This is for everyone-young or old, married or single! We will begin with refreshments and worship with everyone, then break into small groups. Men’s Breakfast:
Guys, round up your friends! The Men’s Breakfast is coming up Saturday, Feb. 9, 8-10:00 am, in the church café. MOPS – Mothers of Preschoolers:
A new MOPS group will be starting Feb. 17 that will meet every other Sunday from 12:30-2:00 pm. Come relax and enjoy the time with other moms in small group discussions, providing support and encouragement, as you equip one another on the challenges of motherhood. Invite your mom friends! Dinners for 8:
Dinners for 8 kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 10, with a meet and greet at church from 12:30-1:30 pm. Lunch will be provided, bring a dessert to share if you’d like.
